BOBBY KHALAJESTANI
Family law attorney Bobby Khalajestani is sharp, focused and responsive to the needs of his clients. He has dedicated his practice to advocating both in and out of the court room for his family law clients. Bobby’s philosophy is to prepare for litigation while looking for each opportunity to resolve a matter so long as it reaches his client’s objectives. This approach does not mean that each case goes to trial or even a court proceeding – however, in order to resolve any issue, whether through settlement or litigation, each client must be apprised of the cost/benefit analysis that only a trial lawyer can provide. This is the value that Bobby brings to each of his cases.
The flip side of this coin is the personal and emotional costs that each client may go through in their family law action. Bobby is motivated to help shoulder that burden by not only counseling each client on their legal matters but supporting them through the maze of family law procedures, dealing with opposing counsel, and guiding clients on what they can expect from the opposing side during the pendency of their matter.
Bobby has been recognized as one of the 10 best attorneys for exceptional and outstanding client service by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys in 2019.
Education
Leadership, Membership & Honors
Prior to starting his practice and while at the Santa Clara University School of Law, Bobby clerked for Justice Nathan D. Mihara in the Sixth District Court of Appeal and later clerked and worked as an attorney for two of the largest family law firms in the state of California. While there, he learned how to take a case from the first petition to final judgment. He has focused his practice on family law litigation. This means advocating for his client’s in the courtroom as well as the conference room in settlement discussions. He has dealt with nearly all family law issues ranging from routine marital dissolutions where the parties have reached an informal agreement to contentious parentage actions, domestic violence cases as well as complex financial family law issues.
Bobby started his own practice in January, 2020 with the intent on creating a premier boutique family law litigation firm based in San Jose, California. Bobby’s experience in his prior careers and studies compliment the breadth of his family law knowledge. Prior to law school, Bobby was a pharmaceutical chemist for a number of years and prior to this he was a classically trained clarinetist having attended the Idyllwild Summer music festival as well as the Bowdoin International Music Festival. Currently, he enjoys playing tennis, poker and shooting pool as each of these activities allows him to compete just as he does in the court room. In his spare time Bobby enjoys spending time with his family. He also speaks conversational Farsi.
